Convermo

Support

Questions, problems and requests all go to one place — and a person reads them.

Email support@convermoapp.com and we aim to reply within two business days.

If something is wrong in the app, it helps enormously to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, the app version (Settings → the version is at the bottom of the screen) and what you were doing at the time.

Exchange rates

Why is Convermo's rate different from my bank's?

Because they are two different things. Convermo shows the European Central Bank's published daily reference rate — the benchmark used for accounting and reporting. Banks, card issuers, ATMs and exchange bureaux add their own margin and fees on top, so what you actually pay or receive will differ, sometimes by several percent. Use Convermo to estimate; check with your provider for the exact amount.

How often do the rates update?

The European Central Bank publishes its reference rates once per working day, and Convermo picks them up automatically. There is no update at weekends or on public holidays, so a rate can be a day or more old on a Monday morning. The pill at the top of the screen always tells you when the app last synced.

Which currencies can I convert?

The major world currencies published in the European Central Bank's daily reference set — including the US dollar, euro, pound sterling, Swiss franc, Japanese yen, and the Canadian, Australian and New Zealand dollars, along with the Nordic, Central European and major Asian currencies. Tap a flag in the app to see the full list and search it.

Can I add a currency that isn't there?

The list comes from the rate source rather than from a setting, so it can't be added to from inside the app. Tell us which one you need — coverage is something we can widen, and knowing what people are asking for is how we decide what to do next.

Does it work without a connection?

Yes. Convermo stores the most recent rates on your iPhone and does every calculation on the device, so it works on a plane or abroad with no data. When it can't reach the network it says so plainly and shows you the date of the rates it is using.

Using the app

Can I do arithmetic in the amount?

Yes — that's what the operators on the keypad are for. Type 24.50 × 3 and the converted total updates as you go, which is what you want when you're splitting a bill or pricing something by the unit.

How do I change or swap the currencies?

Tap the flag on either card to change that currency, and tap the round button between the two cards to swap them.

The widget isn't updating.

Widgets are refreshed by iOS on its own schedule, so a widget can lag behind the app by a while. Opening Convermo refreshes the rates and the widget follows. If it stays stale, remove the widget and add it again. Low Power Mode also slows widget refreshes down considerably.

Which languages does Convermo speak?

English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese. It follows your iPhone's language automatically, and currency names come from iOS itself, so they appear in your language too.

Which iPhones are supported?

Any iPhone running iOS 18 or later.

Subscription

What does Convermo Premium include?

Premium reveals the converted amount and unlocks the Home Screen widget. Everything else — typing, calculating, changing and swapping currencies — is free to use. It is US$3.99 per week or US$19.99 per year, with a three-day free trial on the annual plan; local prices are shown in your own currency before you buy.

I subscribed but the app is still locked.

Open Settings inside Convermo and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase — a subscription belongs to the Apple Account, not to the device. If it still won't unlock, email us and include the App Store receipt, and we'll sort it out.

How do I cancel?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, choose Convermo and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Cancelling during the free trial, at least 24 hours before it ends, means you are not charged. Deleting the app on its own does not cancel a subscription.

Can I get a refund?

Apple handles all purchases and all refunds for App Store subscriptions. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account you bought it on. We aren't able to issue refunds ourselves, but tell us what went wrong — if it's a problem with the app we want to fix it.

Privacy and data

What do you collect about me?

Nothing. There is no account, no sign-up and no analytics, and the currencies and amounts you type never leave your iPhone. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app. Everything Convermo stores lives on your device, so removing it erases the lot. If you'd also like the anonymous record of your subscription removed, email us — note that it may prevent an existing subscription from being restored.

Still stuck?

Write to support@convermoapp.com. Feature requests and complaints are as welcome as bug reports — a small app changes based on what people actually ask for.
