Terms of Use

End User License Agreement for the Convermo iPhone app. Last updated 13 August 2026.

1. The agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form an agreement between you and the independent developer of Convermo, established in Romania ("we", "us"), whose full legal and contact details are published on the app's App Store listing. They govern your use of the Convermo iPhone app and any updates to it (the "App"). By downloading or using the App you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

These Terms apply in addition to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. Where these Terms are silent, that agreement applies; where they conflict, these Terms govern to the extent permitted.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. The App is licensed to you, not sold.

You may not copy, redistribute or sell the App, reverse-engineer or attempt to derive its source code except to the extent that law expressly permits, remove any proprietary notice, or rent, lease or sublicense it.

3. Exchange rates

Exchange rates in the App are the euro foreign exchange reference rates published by the European Central Bank (ECB) and delivered through the Frankfurter service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the European Central Bank.

• The ECB publishes these rates once per working day. They do not update at weekends, on public holidays, or continuously through the day.
• They are reference rates for information and accounting purposes. They are not transactable prices and are not an offer to exchange currency.
• The amount you actually pay or receive at a bank, card issuer, ATM, payment app or exchange will differ, often materially, because those providers apply their own spread, commission and fees.
• When the App cannot reach the network it uses the last rates it stored, and shows you plainly when they were last synced. Those rates may be out of date.

The App is a calculator for estimating amounts. It is not a financial, investment, tax or accounting service, and nothing it displays is advice or a recommendation. Decisions about money are yours, and you should verify any figure that matters with your own financial provider before acting on it.

4. Subscription terms

The App is free to download. Typing, calculating, choosing currencies and swapping them are free to use. Convermo Premium is an auto-renewing subscription that reveals the converted amount and unlocks the Home Screen widget.

Convermo Premium is offered in two lengths:

• Weekly — US$3.99 per week.
• Annual — US$19.99 per year, including a three-day free trial for new subscribers.

Prices are stated in US dollars. Prices in other regions are set for the local storefront and are shown in your own currency, inclusive of applicable taxes, in the App and on the App Store before you confirm any purchase. The price shown at the moment of purchase is the price that applies.

Both lengths give access to the same features. The subscription you choose applies to the Apple Account that made the purchase.

You should understand the following before subscribing:

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the rate then in effect for your region.
• You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in the Settings app, under your Apple Account, then Subscriptions.
• Deleting the App does not cancel the subscription. It must be cancelled through your Apple Account.

5. Free trial

The annual plan includes a three-day free trial for subscribers who have not previously used a trial in this subscription group. Eligibility is determined by Apple.

If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid annual subscription and your Apple Account is charged. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where a trial is offered.

6. Cancelling and refunds

Cancel at any time in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf.

All purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Consumers in the European Union, the United Kingdom and other regions with statutory withdrawal or refund rights keep those rights in full; exercise them through Apple, as the seller of record.

7. Price changes

We may change subscription prices for future periods. Where a change affects an existing subscription, Apple will notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the next renewal.

8. Acceptable use

Use the App lawfully. Do not use it to break the law, to interfere with or disrupt the services it relies on, to scrape or redistribute rate data at scale, to circumvent the subscription, or to build a competing product from its data or interface.

9. Intellectual property

The App, its design, its name, its icon and its content are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark law. These Terms grant you no rights in our trademarks. Exchange rate data is published by the European Central Bank and remains subject to its terms of reuse; the App displays the required attribution.

10. Privacy

Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: the App has no accounts, collects no personal information about you, and your conversions never leave your device.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at all times, nor that the exchange rates shown are accurate, complete, current or suitable for any particular purpose. Rate data is supplied by third parties and may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App — including any financial loss resulting from reliance on a rate or a converted amount shown in it.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim arose, or US$50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

13. Maintenance and support

We are solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services. Support is available by email at support@convermoapp.com, and we aim to reply within two business days.

If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our sole responsibility.

We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the App fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation. We, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that the App or your use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights.

14. Legal compliance

By using the App you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

15. Apple

This agreement is between you and us only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

16. Termination

These Terms apply until terminated. You may end them at any time by deleting the App and cancelling any subscription. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — survive termination.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the App changes or the law requires. The current version is always on this page with its date at the top, and material changes will be noted in the App's release notes. Changes are not retroactive, and continuing to use the App after they take effect means you accept them.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the Romanian courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there where that law allows.
